Formula continues partnership with AB Devinci team in 2017

For the last 10 years, the AB Devinci team has represented the pinnacle of Italian downhill racing and the team will continue their successful relationship with Formula on the 2017 international downhill racing circuit. In 2017 the AB Devinci team will be the main representative of the Canadian manufacturer on the international race circuit. The team will focus on the UCI World Cup, IXS European Cup, and the Italian circuit Gravitalia aboard bikes equipped with Formula Cura brakes. The professionalism of the AB Devinci team combined with the expertise of Formula engineers will make for a great season of downhill racing.

Thanks to an excellent roster, the team is very motivated to accomplish their 2017 goals. Loris Revelli (19), who was the fastest junior at Val di Sole in 2015 and established himself among the main players at the IXS European Cup, is aiming for top 20 consistency in the World Cup elite ranks. Andrea Bianciotto (18) qualified as the fastest junior at Val di Sole in 2016 and has the potential to become one of the top junior riders in 2017. Francesco Colombo (21) achieved 38th place at Fort William in 2016 and is ready to make the next step after taking 8th place overall in the IXS European Cup. Gianluca Vernassa (21) and Carlo Caire (22) are already team veterans and seek to strengthen their positions in the top 40 UCI ranking.

I have always tried to provide my athletes the best you can find, this is an essential condition for being able to fight at the highest level,” said Roberto Vernassa, AB Devinci Team Manager. “We’ve been racing with Fromula brakes for more than ten years now and we’re happy as the first day. I’m so excited to share another season with this amazing brand.

2017 is probably going to be the most important seasons of my career to date,” said Loris Revelli. “We’ve set important goals with the team and we will work hard to try to achieve them as we do every year. The support of Formula on race field is one of the key ingredients to be where we want to be.

I’ve been racing with Formula brakes for two years now and I’ve always been very satisfied,” said Andrea Bianciotto. “With the Cura Formula pushed the performance to the next level in terms of sensitivity and reliability. The feeling is fantastic and the power is more than what we need. Being able to trust your brakes mean you can push your limits during your race run.

I am personally very happy to continue working with Formula,” said Francesco Colombo. “I’ve always had a good feeling with their brakes and the new Cura are exactly what I need for racing.

With the new Formula Cura I found everything I was looking for a downhill brake: power, consistency in braking and amazing feeling all the way down my race run,” said Gianluca Vernassa. “On top of that the Cura has an aggressive and modern design that gives a nice touch to my Devinci Wilson.

I am stoked to continue the partnership with Formula, a very professional brand focused on quality, and the new Cura proves it,” said Carlo Caire. “In addition to that I’m proud to collaborate with an Italian brand that has always been at the top in the mountain bike industry
