Kashima Coat® and DLC combine to reduce friction and improve wear resistance, with each coating matched to the material where it performs best.
Kashima Coat® is an anodized treatment that can only be applied to aluminum, so it is applied to the outer tubes. The steel stanchions provide the strength and durability suited to aggressive off-road use, and are treated with DLC to create an exceptionally hard, low-friction surface.
The result is a smoother, more consistent feel throughout the fork’s travel, with the durability required for demanding off-road riding.
